Abstract

Vitamin A is an indispensable nutrient in feeds for crustaceans and plays an important role in several metabolic aspects of this group of organisms. This work reviews current knowledge of vitamin A and its role in vision, systemic functions, reproduction, larval development, and the immunological response of crustaceans, as well as the dietary requirements of species of commercial importance.
